Care Instructions

Care Instructions for Your Specimen:

  • Light Protection: Do not place the specimen in direct sunlight, as this may cause the colors to fade.
  • Heat Sources: Keep the specimen away from direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, heaters) to prevent damage to the materials. Normal room temperatures are safe for the specimen. However, in very hot summer months (e.g., in attic apartments), avoid placing the specimen in areas exposed to extreme temperatures for long periods.
  • Cleaning: Clean the specimen preferably with a dry microfiber cloth. If necessary, a slightly damp microfiber cloth can be used, but never wet. Do not use liquids or cleaning agents.
  • Pest Control: Regularly check for pests (e.g., moths) on the specimen. In case of an infestation, have the specimen treated by a professional.
  • Storage: Store the specimen in a dry place. Avoid storing it in bathrooms or near humidifiers, as high humidity may affect the specimen. Normal indoor humidity is generally not a concern.
  • Wall Placement: Do not place the frame on exterior walls, as temperature differences (e.g., warm indoors and cold outdoors) may cause condensation behind the frame, which could result in mold forming on the specimen, despite being sealed.
  • Handling: Handle the specimen carefully, as it contains glass that may break. Avoid rough handling or impacts.
